LIGHTING THE FUTURE

LOOM is for people who value high-quality lighting to illuminate and decorate their homes, and offers an alternative to linear LED lighting in office, hospitality and commercial spaces.
LOOM is an innovative, bulb-less light fixture that distributes high-efficiency LED light through a transparent three-dimensional light-guide made to resemble a lampshade.
LOOM offers low-glare, natural looking light though enhanced distribution and colour rendering, with an incredible 120 lumens per Watt output efficacy - three times the amount of light you get from putting an LED lightbulb into a light fixture.

TECHNOLOGY

LOOM is Superior Lighting

LOOM has developed a breakthrough lighting product that is beautiful, has no lightbulb, no diffuser, and is low-footprint, providing high-quality natural looking light that will lift your mood and help you be more productive and healthy. LOOM has invented the technology to light the future.

The benefits are:

  • A transparent, thee-dimensional ‘voluminous’ light-guide offering unique and beautiful technology-driven design
  • A better experience through high quality, low-glare, natural looking and feeling light: 92+ CRI versus 80 CRI offered conventionally on the market
  • Superior efficacy and efficiency: 120+ lumens per Watt versus 60 lm/W offered by diffused integrated LEDs and 40 lm/W from LED lightbulbs in shaded light fixtures
  • Mobile controllability through the internet-of-things (IoT) let’s you control the mood, and set-it-and forgetit scheduling

Lighting The Future

Loom™ offers breakthrough LED light-guide technology and novel technology-driven designs for residential and commercial markets. Loom lighting doesn’t need a light-bulb allowing us to design a completely different light fixture: Loom incorporates long-life integrated LEDs that provide beautiful, low-footprint lighting solutions that seek to solve the inefficiencies of lightbulbs.

Loom is lighting the future of homes and offices with its energy-efficient intelligent lighting solutions, offering a natural, human-centric light experience.

Solving Inefficiencies of Lightbulbs

Loom’s light is emitted directly from transparent, shade-like waveguides that are super efficient conductors and emitters of light, provided in designs to suit their customers’ tastes.

We solves the problems and inefficiencies of light bulbs, like dull colour rendering, glare, and poor efficacy that amount to low-quality light. Loom lighting makes colours pop, distributes light ergonomically, reduces glare, and saves significant energy.

Reducing Energy Consumption

Putting a light bulb behind a shade or diffuser has one significant flaw: lost light and wasted energy. Loom provides over 120 lumens per Watt—three times the efficacy of light as an LED light bulb diffused by a shade. Our lighting also uses only 4% of the energy of an incandescent light bulb to produce the same amount of light.

These massive energy savings positively impact the environment by lessening nuclear waste and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. If only 2% of North Americans switched to Loom, we could turn off an entire nuclear reactor or the equivalent from a coal-fired energy plant.

Integrating With IoT Technology

Loom lighting works with existing Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology over WiFi and Bluetooth, giving customers total control with their mobile device.

You can set the mood in their home or control lights remotely while on the go, and lighting dimming and brightness can be scheduled to fit your life and circadian rhythm. Some models offer colour tuning to set the mood or to help increase productivity.

Geofencing settings lets Loom light up customers’ houses when they arrive home from work, and Loom will let users know when things are happening, by responding to IoT smoke, carbon monoxide and intruder sensors and baby monitors.
